Enhancements to Standard POINT - POINT v2.0 Announced

Amsterdam, IBC, 2004:- e-mediavision.com is announcing today the availability of version 2.0 of POINT, the world’s leading broadcast illustrator.

Version 2.0 features the latest effects tool, the Nitro PFX Graphics Engine (a patent-applied-for technology). Developed for the POINT HD (to be released in 2005), the Nitro PFX allows fully featured animation effects to be applied to real-time video by the presenter, enhancing the viewer experience.

With the inclusion of the Nitro PFX Engine, a suite of tools will be released over the next 12 months which will feature 3D graphics effects, to be applied to real time live video without the need for expensive tracking sensors on the cameras.

e-mediavision.com, in keeping with its tradition of customer support, will be providing all current users with these latest enhancements free of charge.

At IBC POINT will be demonstrated with dual touch screen controls, one of which also features the latest new addition, POINT Holo, a Holographic video screen with projected touch interface. POINT Holo displays the real time video picture on a sheet of glass, allowing the presenter to be in shot and interacting with POINT graphics.

POINT’s latest new feature allows the presenter’s touch screen to be remotely located up to a distance of 1km from the main system using the e-mediavision conventional XLR audio cable interface.
